Photo 7 - Tone

Shoot three purposeful images this week. Post them on your blog by Saturday.
Use reflective and incidence control of tone in three photos showing 1) Contrast of tone, 2) Affinity of tone, 3) Coincidence or Non-coincidence of tone.
Include a brief artist’s statement with each photo. Include a explanation of how you achieved the visual element that shows your understanding of the material. (Also, Why did you take this photo? What was your intention? Why, specifically, did this image speak to you? Do you believe you were successful? Why or why not?).
These photos should be carefully considered, composed and executed. Incorporate the principles we are reading about. Ideally they will hint at a story and evoke an emotion in a single frame. Remember: Using the visual element is good, but using it in meaningful conjunction with a subject—especially to draw out drama—is better.

Picture 1 - I tried to use non-coincidence of tone to obscure the subject- silhouette is still visible. I think I did a good job at following the example from the book. I the setting sun as incident light on a fountain, and I like how the picture turned out.

Picture 2 - I tried to use the setting sun as incident lighting to create contrast of tone. I wanted the sky to be super bright and the scenery to be darker. I think it turned out okay.

Picture 3 - For this one, I decided to follow advice from the book and shoot B&W to make sure that my exposure was pretty even and nothing in the frame was too bright. I think I get it affinity of tone now...
